?Micro-Con? under ELECHROMA presented by PRAGYA 2017 SGGSIE&T will not only test your programming skills but your ability to handle pressure and deadlines. It would be ultimate test of your concentration skills with every round of it has programming as well as physical task associated with it .With the programming task becoming tougher and tougher with each round. Anyone can be a coder but it takes something innovative and special to be ?THE MICRO-ICON?. So friends let's recollect the knowledge regarding 8051 microcontroller to grab opportunity?
1.Each Team should have at maximum 2 participants. 2.The participants should bring their identity card. 3.It is sufficient to crack APTI-CON by any group member to get entry in ROUND II. 4.Bring your own calculator. 5.Judges decision will be final.
Round ROUND I ? APTI-CON 1. This round will check your knowledge about 8051. 2. Aptitude test contains MCQs related to 8051 and overall Embedded system. ROUND Il ? CODE-CON 1. A problem statement along with the set of the question will be given to you. 2. Participant team have to program using only KEIL software for given problem statement with appropriate logic. ROUND Ill ? BURN-CON 1. A problem statement will be given to participants. 2. Create the appropriate code and connect appropriate hardware to implement the statement. 3. Finally the team should give satisfactory explanation to the judges about the interfacing of controller and peripherals.

ROUND I - TechCkt-Apti 1. Participants will have to answer Multiple Choice Questions related to basics of Electronics and Communication and mental abilities. 2. It will be based on Basic laws of Electricity, Analog, Digital, Embedded, etc. 3. There will be 60 questions for 45 minutes. ROUND II ? TechCkt-DebugTracer 1. Participant teams have to trace and draw diagram of the pre-built faulty circuit. 2. The circuit may be analog or digital or combination of both. There would be 7-8 faults of connections and/or concept. 3. The challenge is to search all the bugs in the circuit, remove them and make the circuit working. 4. Again trace the working circuit. ROUND III ? TechCkt-Design 1. A problem statement with particular specifications will be provided to teams. Circuit should be abided by specification like Supply, frequency, Specific ICs, Transistors, etc. 2. The task is to design the circuit, find all the values of components required, and build it on breadboard to get the desired output. 3. Sufficient time will be provided. 4. In case of a tie, extra round like Rapid Fire, etc. may be organized and/or optimization & elegance of design will be promoted for elimination. Besides this the final round will include: Viva (Knowledge Checking):- Working of circuit, components detail, approach, etc. Participant must know practical applications of the given circuit. Team should have to give a satisfactory explanation to judges.
